German TWTD reader Torsten Hase says keeper Simon Jentzsch would be a very good signing for the Blues and that Wolfsburg would be more than willing to allow him to leave. Early today, TWTD reported that German sources were linking the 32-year-old with a move to Portman Road.

Town boss Jim Magilton has confirmed that loan keeper Stephen Bywater has not been offered a contract by the Blues. The former England U21 international joined Town on loan from Derby County in January and made 17 appearances while at Portman Road.

Former Blue Thomas Gaardsøe has announced his retirement due to a persistent groin injury. Gaardsøe made 49 appearances for the Blues between August 2001 and July 2003, scoring seven goals.

An injury time penalty from Alan Lee against one of his old clubs salvaged a point for the Blues against Burnley. Profligate Town should have had the game sewn up before Kyle Lafferty's goal four minutes from time but after Gifton Noel-Williams's handball, Lee saved the Blues from another defeat.
